2021 NHL Playoffs Picks!

The NHL get started tonight with the Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals facing off in Game 1.

After a short, packed, weird regular season, the stakes are higher now. The sweat is ready to run. Maybe some blood too. And fans are just as ready.

To be quite honest, I haven’t paid as close attention to this NHL season as I planned or would have liked or have in the past. But, I’m still in. I am still cheering for the Montreal Canadiens. And while I may be a little high on my own supply, I’m trying to also be at least a little rational.

I logged on at NHL.com, went through my bracket, made. my picks, and you can see all of that laid out below. I did take the Habs over the Leafs in round one, which likely wasn’t smart, but I did it. In other series I weighed experience and the season and players. But I’m still not sure if I’ll end up with anything right.

Though I am pretty confident in the Edmonton Oilers over the Jets in round one and to come out of round two as well. How is anyone going to stop Connor McDavid from dragging that team to some wins?

In the Stanley Cup finals, I’ve got McDavid vs. Crosby. Edmonton vs. Pittsburgh. And the potential for an unofficial / official passing of the torch moment.

It’s going to be a competitive tournament. It’s going to be fun to watch and keep track of. And in the end, one team and their fans will have more fun than the rest. Same as always.
