2021 Royal Rumble Predictions!
I like the WWE Royal Rumble a lot. It’s fun. It’s got fewer matches to keep track of with high stakes and excitement on the two biggest events of the night. We often get surprises and big pops and is awesome.
This year, in the ThunderDome, we won’t get the same live excitement that we got when Edge came back last year for example, so I don’t think we’re going to get the same swings for the fences. And that’s fine, it is what it is.
Before we get to the two Rumble matches, here are my predictions for everything else. (As listed at time of publishing this post)

‣ Sasha Banks beats Carmella
‣ Asuka and Charlotte beat Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler
So there you have it, that’s that. Now, let’s get to the big ones.

Men’s Royal Rumble Predictions
NXT Entries
If there are three dudes coming from NXT to make an impression and then get eliminated and go back to the black and gold brand, these are the guys I’m picking. Whether they eliminate some main roster performers or not, they can get noticed by the mainstream audience and see what happens from there. I’d look for Damian Priest to make the biggest statement.
Returns & Surprises
This is really a list of performers that we just haven’t seen in the ring and/or are waiting for them to come back. There are no Hall of Famers, but one ‘oh hey, okay he’s here’ prediction. Seeing The Fiend come and cost Randy Orton his chance to win seems legit (after he throws out Big Show looking for revenge but failing). Having Seth Rollins come back from paternity leave (as The Messiah or something new) would fit. Aleister Black just needs to get back in front of viewers… and Samoa Joe – if healthy, would be a FANTASTIC choice to join this Royal Rumble, beat the hell out of some dudes and start a new feud and storyline. Please.

Women’s Royal Rumble Predictions
NXT Entries
Candice LeRae is a star on a heel turn and let’s just let her cause some trouble and fly around and be bad. Ember Moon is known by the mainstream audience, they’ll remember her, she’s a badass, let’s get a reminder of that with main roster competitors. And Rhea Ripley… I’m really tempted to pick her as the winner of this match. Really tempted!
Returns & Surprises
This list does have some non-roster returnees with Mickie James and Torrie Wilson who we saw recently on Raw Legends Night – and who I believe could still go for a few minutes. Lana could make her return from injury and Naomi would be a great return because she is simply great. Eva Marie, this is a performer we’ve been waiting on now since the news of her contract became public and rumours of her being backstage at tapings started to come out. If there’s a time to get her back in the ring and start something, the Royal Rumble might as well be it.
Royal Rumble Winner Predictions
With The Fiend coming back (prediction), I think Bliss is ready to keep going with the weirdo stuff she’s got going on right now. In fact, I’d much rather see her in the title picture in this gimmick than The Fiend himself. So let’s say it’s going to happen.
On the men’s side, I’m leaning to Edge. I don’t want to see Edge vs Orton 3, and I don’t know what other feud is waiting for him, so let’s get him into the WrestleMania main event one more time for the belt and see how it goes. Give it to me.
