2020-21 NFL Divisional Round Picks!

Welcome to Week 2 of the NFL Playoffs – I hope you’re ready for some Divisional Round winners!

Last week we had 6 games on Super Wild Card Weekend which makes the four games we’ve got this week feel less… wild. But, it does bring back the two #1 seeds and gives us games in Kansas City and the frozen tundra at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.

2020 NFL Wild Card Record: 4 W – 2 L
2020 NFL Playoff Record: 4 W – 2 L
2020 NFL Regular Season Record: 170 W – 85 L – 1 T

This week also gives us the 3rd meeting of the year between Tom Brady’s Bucs and Drew Brees’ Saints. The Saints are looking for a three game sweep on the season, but the Buccaneers are better now than they were for either of those earlier games – and the Saints are less healthy than they were for those games. That’s not a good combo for New Orleans. Not good at all.

And then, in Buffalo we’ve got last season’s MVP Lamar Jackson, fresh off the playoff win he wanted and needed to turn some of his story around, headed in to take on Josh Allen (great name BTW) and a Bills team that probably isn’t getting enough love this week after giving up a lot of yards and plays to Indy last week.

The Ravens are good – and Lamar might break off a couple 35-50 yard runs – but if he doesn’t, or if their defence can’t keep up, or both, it’s not going to be as close as the line says it should be (Bills by 2.5 as of Saturday morning).

Note: If any of the games on the schedule for this week are cancelled or postponed due to COVID-19 or player protests, I’m just going to remove them until they are played again. AND I completely support the players in their decisions!

Look for the Chiefs to remind everyone that they are very good (there’d been a lot of chatter about Buffalo being the best in the AFC and that’s gotta sting) and the Packers to push the Rams out of Cinderella’s pumpkin carriage well before midnight. The #1s move on.
