Movember 2020 Prep!

Movember 2020 is dangerously close. Dangerous for my beard. Dangerous for Jess’s love of my beard and her feelings about my baby face. Dangerous for Ollie’s reaction when he wakes up on November 1 and daddy doesn’t have any hair on his face.

BUT Movember is also a chance to do good. To be a helper. To make a difference. And even in this crap year, that matters, so I’m ready.

This will be my 11th Movember, and sadly, the first one in the middle of a pandemic that won’t allow us to hold our annual Karaoke fundraiser in Toronto. However, I do want to take a quick moment to thank Sean and Jason and every single person who has supported us and every bar owner that has hosted us and all of our friends and family because in 10 years we raised more than $16,500 singing karaoke and doing raffles. And that’s pretty great.

Now, onto 2020!

I know that 2020 is hard. So I do not want any of you to feel pressured to shave your face if you don’t normally shave your face. And I don’t want you to feel pressured to grow a mo if you usually keep your face bare.

If you wanna get in though, and raise some funds and awareness and support a good cause, there’s still time and you are welcome! Sign and let’s get growing!

I’m sure I’ll be here with more tips and things are the month of Movember goes on – but for now, here are three big ones.

1. Go Slow

2. Moisturize

3. Try Not To Be Self-Conscious About How Your ‘Stache Looks On Your Face!

Take care of yourselves and each other. Be good. Do good.

Happy Movember!
