International Women’s Day 2020: Celebrate Women ♀️
Mothers, aunts, grandmas, sisters, cousins, friends, partners, neighbours, strangers, co-workers, acquaintances, women of all relationships to you, me, and everyone else deserve this day of recognition and celebration!
We know the history of women fighting for the same rights and privileges as men (and I’m continuously learning more because it’s ongoing).
We know that women of colour and queer women have had added steps to their climb.
We know that women have fought hard for the right to work, vote, lead, control their bodies, and more.
We know, that in 2020, there are still those who would try to take one or more of those things away. It ain’t right.
So, today we celebrate all of the women that continue to fight, to climb, to push, and succeed.
We celebrate women of all colours and faiths who fight for the equal rights of women of all colours and faiths.
While I’m here, I’m going to give some love to Jess, who is a hard-working woman. She hustles in her career, is a wonderful/fantastic/caring/great/loving mom to Ollie, and an amazing partner for me.
Today I celebrate her too. And I hope you all take a moment to celebrate the women that matter most to you too.
