The Best Halloween Candy – 2019 Reader Poll! 🍬🍫

For generations, children have celebrated and complained about their Halloween hauls. They love the good stuff, spit on the bad stuff, and all of it is just opinion based anyway. And now, in the year 2019, I want to know which Halloween candy you’d celebrate, and which you’s volunteer to give to your mum.

I like candy and treats and walking into Walmart or the grocery store this time of year kills me because A) I want it all. B) I am always jarred by how expensive Halloween candy is.

I also feel like I’m teasing myself because yes we plan to take Ollie to a few houses this Halloween, but he’s only going to be 18 months old. It’s not like we’re going to get some great haul. And that means there’s another full year to wait before I can play dad and put a candy tax on the kid’s Halloween bounty.

It’s going to be a long year!

Note: When I said I love candy and I want it all, I didn’t mean candy corn. Nope. No thank you.

Now, this whole post is here because I want to know which Halloween candy is the best Halloween candy in the eyes and bellies of you. I’ve put together a poll with 20 options – and the ability for you to choose up to 3 options. However, if you feel like you need to choose more than 3 options you can refresh and vote again.

Before we get to the voting, I do want to give a shoutout to my childhood neighbours. The Howes were an awesome family to live beside and be babysat by and play with. They were also great at Halloween because Mrs. Howe made popcorn balls and they were delicious. Popcorn balls are not on this list – but if you make popcorn balls and you want to show me that you love me, send me a DM and hook me up!

Now, it’s time for you to vote for the best Halloween candy. It’s a long list. You can change your mind and unselect something if you want to make a swap before submitting. It’s all up to you.

And if there’s a candy that you think should be on this list and isn’t – leave a comment telling us all what it is and why you love it!

Before you go, here’s a throwback to Ollie as Green Arrow for his first Halloween. Pretty freaking cute if you ask me!
