Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving 2019 🙏🍁

Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Canadian friends and family.

I am thankful for the love, health, opportunity and privilege in my life. I am thankful for the chance to be a dad to a great little boy and a partner to a wonderful woman. I am thankful for friends and family who show us love and support. I am thankful for all of the good in my life and the strength and support to get through the rough times.

Tonight I’ll be thankful for a great dinner as the three of us sit down together to eat and smile and laugh.

I’m thankful that yesterday we were able to drive to Arden, Ontario to watch my nephew be baptized by my mom and then to sit down for lunch at a big table of family that included three of Ollie’s great-grandparents, my mom and step-dad, my aunt and her partner, three of my brothers + an honourary brother, my sister-in-law, and the kids.

I’m thankful for the surprise gift of a photo album that includes photos of my childhood with my dad, my mom, my grandparents, aunt, uncle, cousins that brought a lot of great memories to my heart.

I hope you are all fortunate enough to have as much to be thankful for as I do.

ps. stuffing and cranberries are very important for Thanksgiving dinner.

pps. pumpkin pie is the best pie for Thanksgiving dinner.
