Pre-Parenting Tip: Packing For The Hospital 🧳

It’s been almost a year and a half since we started planning for our trip to the hospital to have the baby and bring him home. And no, we aren’t getting ready for a second trip, but I do know some parents-to-be that are getting ready to make that trip for themselves, and we all know that every single day new parents are on their way to and from the maternity ward.

To try and help everyone, I sat down with Ollie’s mama and we came up with a list of things we took to the hospital and things we wish we had taken to the hospital. Thank you to her for the help!

This list is going to look long, but here’s the thing – you don’t know how long you’re going to be at the hospital – trust me on that one, so clothing and toiletries matter. You’re underestimating how many minutes and hours you’re going to just be sitting quietly while the baby naps or mama naps or you want to nap. And in the times when mama and the baby are napping and you’re not tired, you’re going to get bored quickly – so entertainment needs kick in. You’re going to get hungry and thirsty. There’s a lot to consider.

The baby also needs stuff, and you need to bring all that stuff for them.

So, here’s the list we came up with.
