Baby’s Day Out: Ollie Picks A Pumpkin

With Fall here and Halloween on the way, we had to take Ollie out to pick his first pumpkin, and take some photos while we did it.

We did not travel to a full-scale rural pumpkin patch for our outing. Instead, we drove east to O’Flaherty’s Landscaping & Garden Centre, where we already knew there were pumpkins on display and available.

Note: Halloween is Jess’s very favourite holiday so stay tuned for costumed baby Oliver pictures.

This wasn’t a long adventure, but it was fun. We got Ollie dressed in a cute dancing skeleton onesie, grey jeans, camo vest, red toque and red Chucks and strapped him in for the car ride. We were worried on the drive as he whimpered in the backseat, but we kept going.

When we arrived we pulled Ollie out of his seat and went right to the pumpkins and bales and started snapping photos.

The little dude wasn’t in a super smiley mood, but he wasn’t complaining. We got photos of him sitting with pumpkins, with his mom, and with me.

We also got this family selfie.

When we were done taking photos (it was quick) Jess picked a small pumpkin and we went inside to the office to pay.

The two gentlemen working at O’Flaherty’s were great to us and made a fuss over Ollie as people tend to do. We made some small talk, picked out a complimentary little orange pumpkin looking gourd, paid $1.50 for our pumpkin and that was that.

When I said that it was fun, I mostly mean for me and Jess. But here’s hoping that Oliver had a good time too.

Check out the rest of the pics!
